| ALLIANCE FRANCAISE MARSEILLE |
|
|
|
| School introduction |
Alliance Fran?aise
Marseille's main objective is to develop students' communication skills
for situations encountered in daily or professional life.
Its strong point is the personalization of courses in order to meet
students' expectations.
For this, the number of students in each class is limited in order
to better estimate the progress of the whole class and to make easier
personalized corrections and the participation of each trainee.
All teachers are university graduates, specialized
in teaching French as a foreign language. The pedagogic team is
mainly made of full time teachers who are able to offer a constant
follow-up to students. Constant attention is given to the updating
of methods and creation of a relaxed classroom atmosphere conducive
to study. Professors take time to discuss student objectives, motivations
and progress.

Aix and Marseille are both located nearby
the Mediterranean Sea. This region has a long history, starting
under the Roman Empire, where Aix and Marseilles where already considered
as leaders in terms of education. This tradition is so deep-rooted
that even nowadays; students' formation is a priority.
With more than 1 000 000 inhabitants, those cities are highly attractive.
Situated in the south of France, they enjoy an excellent climate,
the proximity of the sea and an exceptional historical background.
Located on the way between Italy and Spain, this area has always
been an important business centre. Not only this region is important
in the European market, but Marseille, the first commercial French
port, is also the link between Europe and Africa.
Aix-Marseille is very dynamic and especially on the agro food industry,
research laboratories and telecommunication. This region offers
many opportunities to students who would like to find a part-time
job.
As a dynamic (less than 8% unemployment rate)
and very tourist city, the part time job opportunities are numerous
from the services to the high tech industries. If the ocean remains
important for the local economy, IT, telecommunication (Thales),
mechanics and military industry (DCN) represents the large part
of the local GDP.
